Christian Ferguson's car-washing enterprise, 'Ultra Clean', has been a popular and very useful feature of the Ross Spur, adjacent to Labels for three years. But on the morning of Friday, June 27th, Christian was shocked to discover that the lorry which housed all the car-wash equipment had disappeared. He told The Ross Gazette: I park it next to the petrol station opposite overnight. But when I drove to collect it on Friday morning, it was gone. I had the keys in my hand so someone must have broken into it and taken it. All the equipment for my business was stolen and I am very upset about it but I cannot believe the kindness and offers of help I have had from people who use the valeting service. I am most grateful to the men who work for me, Ross Labels and the local police." The missing lorry is a big white Leyland Daf, registration no X343AOU and it has Ultra Clean written on it. It was taken between 9pm on Thursday, June 26th, and 8am on Friday, June 27th. Christian said "Although it means starting off again from scratch I am determined to continue with my business. In fact I did not let my customers down at the weekend, it was business as usual." Christian's main concern is for his customers, many of whom are elderly and unable to wash their cars themselves. "I want them to know what has happened and explain that we did not want to let them down." Ultra Clean provides regular employment for up to four people, and the services include pressure washing, valeting, and carpet and upholstery cleaning from Thursday to Sunday. arden transformation wins top prize for Dave
