BROWN Owl Mrs Alison Lewis and Assistant Leader Mrs Jenny James have been taking their 3rd Monmouth Brownie Pack to Monmouth Life Saving Club at the town's Leisure Centre each Monday night.

Their trips were rewarded when the whole group of 20 were successful in gaining Rookie Star 1 RLSS badges.

The youngest member of the group is aged seven and the oldest nine. There were also three Guides who took part.

Chairman of Monmouth Life Saving Club Johnanthan Russell was delighted with the group's attendance and is looking forward to their return in the new year when they will take Star 2 which counts towards their Brownie awards.

Both the Life Saving Club, who take members from the age of 13, and the Brownies, who cater for younger children, are always pleased to welcome new members.

The Life Saving Club are also pleased to help other groups get their RLSS awards as well as individuals.
