ON Saturday 14th April the Rockfield All Stars performed to a sold-out crowd at Bridges Centre, Monmouth.
The band members were all connected to the Rockfield Recording Studios, so the name ‘Rockfield All Stars’ felt a fitting tribute to their years in the music industry.
Band members including Paul and Ray Martinez, Dave Charles, Frankie Allen, Kingsley Ward and Dave Watkins, all who have played with the likes of Robert Plant and Dave Edmunds.
The concert was put on in aid of Bridges Centre’s projects, who work with vulnerable and isolated people all around Monmouthshire. In total £1,373 was raised, which shows the huge success of the night.
Dorothy Laidler, Fundraising Coordinator at Bridges, said: “I would just like to say a special thank you to everyone who supported and was involved with the event. It was lovely to see the hall packed full of people from Monmouth and further afield, enjoying every minute of the Rockfield All Stars.”
The Rockfield boys helped organised another sell-out event for charity, but this one was a little different as the team of three are now a team of two. Sadly Rollie, the third member of the Rockfield Boys, passed away shortly before the event. A toast to Rollie was held at the event in tribute to his hard work and dedication to fundraising over all his years, he will be sadly missed.
