Eisteddfod 2025 was a spectacular showcase of Welsh culture, fierce competition and school spirit at the Haberdashers School.

Rooted in the traditions of the historic Eisteddfod this year’s event brought students together for an unforgettable celebration of poetry, music, drama and academic challenges.

The morning began with a dynamic series of departmental competitions, bringing together students from Year 7 to Year 13 in mixed-age teams to earn points for their families—Bagnall Oakley, Mather Jackson, Imbert Terry, and Prosser.

Designed by various academic departments, these challenges ranged from storytelling inspired by The Mabinogion (a collection of the earliest Welsh prose tales) and ceramic dragon sculpting to an intense inter-family CCF drill competition. In Business & Economics, students tackled a business pitch challenge for the upcoming GlastonBARRY Festival 2025.
